Wiring Diagram – Fralin Pure P.A.F. – HH – 1X Volume, 1X Tone – Blade Switch (2 Wire)

In this post, you’ll find the details needed to wire up a set of Fralin Pure P.A.F. pickups. This configuration is fairly straightforward. There is one master volume and one master tone. Both of these pots are 500K ohms. The selector is a standard three-way blade switch, as found in a Fender Telecaster. As with all Lindy Fralin two-wire humbuckers, the white wire is the “hot,” and the black and shield wires go to the ground.

Our resident electronics wizard came by his skills honestly — first as an apprentice in his father’s repair shop, later as a working musician and (most recently) as a sound designer for film. His passion for guitar led him to Humbucker Soup, where he continues to decode the wonders of wiring and the vicissitudes of voltage. Ed has never taken his guitar to a shop — he already knows how to fix it.
