Wiring Diagram – Railhammer Hyper Vintage – HH – 1X Volume, 1X Tone – With Splitting – Toggle Switch

In this post, you’ll find the details needed to wire up a set of Railhammer Hyper Vintage humbucker pickups with pickup-splitting capability. This configuration is fairly straightforward, with one push-pull pot for a master volume and one push-pull pot for a master tone. Both of these pots are 500K ohms. In this case, the selector is a standard toggle switch, just as you would find in a Gibson Les Paul. With Railhammer humbuckers, the black wire is the “hot,” the green wire goes to the ground, and the red & white wires are soldered together.

Our resident electronics wizard came by his skills honestly — first as an apprentice in his father’s repair shop, later as a working musician and (most recently) as a sound designer for film. His passion for guitar led him to Humbucker Soup, where he continues to decode the wonders of wiring and the vicissitudes of voltage. Ed has never taken his guitar to a shop — he already knows how to fix it.
