Used with the guitar, the bass, or the keyboard, the Steve Vai Bad Horsie 2 has two modes of operation: Bad Horsie and Contour.
As it’s designed to be used with the guitar, the bass, or the keyboard, the Steve Vai Bad Horsie 2 has two modes of operation, and in Bad Horsie, the wah tone and Q are set to Steve Vai’s precise specifications. In the Contour mode, you can set your own sound by adjusting the frequency and wah level to suit your needs. The pedal features a switchless On/Off; simply step on it and it turns on, remove your foot and it turns off. You no longer need to turn the wah on with the rocker in the all-the-way-forward position. It features an electro-optical wah control instead of the traditional rotary pot, there are no moving parts to wear out, and the pedal reacts more precisely to your foot movements.
The Bad Horsie 2 also features a Clear Tone buffer circuit to ensure a pure guitar tone and to maintain the signal level in Bypass and Wah modes. It also features an easy-access battery compartment and LED status indicator. It’s powered with a 9-volt battery or an optional Morley 9V 300mA adapter. The Bad Horsie 2 is housed in a sturdy, cold-rolled steel container.
