Digital Guitar Amps – Which One is Best?

digital guitar ampsLet’s take a look at the often frowned upon digital domain to see if it can yet produce a great-sounding amplifier.

Digital Guitar Amps are finally becoming a much more acceptable way to amplify your guitar sound. Today’s amplifiers use much higher bitrates and frequency rates, along with higher quality analog-to-digital converters. Almost every aspect of the digital amplifier has been improved. As a result, this has led to some really great-sounding equipment that should not be ignored simply because it is digital.

Most of the digital guitar amps that we will look at today are aimed mainly at the bedroom and home studios. There, having a large arsenal of usable tones in a small package will be a great benefit. The digital modeling in all of these amps does a pretty good job of emulating the vintage amps they look to match and they all sound great right out of the box.

Even more power is unleashed with the apps that allow you to dig in and tweak parameters never before considered. It is even possible to download an emulation of your favorite guitar player’s sound. Many have long lists of effects that you can string together in any order, giving you even more parameters to tweak. Most of these digital guitar amps are compact and designed to look nice in your home. They have a full range of sound capable of streaming audio, using Bluetooth.
