It was not long ago that guitarists who wanted reverb outside of an amp would have to use either rack-mounted gear, or ridiculously large effects units. The new Hall Of Fame Reverb from TC Electronic is an impressive little stomp box that offers the most popular types of reverb in a very small footprint.

Instead of quickly plucking a string between songs, or between notes to solve your tuning emergency, the HT-6 from DigiTech allows you to keep on strummin’ and simply look down at the floor for your tuning status.

DOD is not a name that is often used in conjunction with higher end stuff, but they made some decent pedals that were very affordable. The FX-65 was a good chorus pedal that as I look back, still looks sounds great.

The MXR Micro Amp is a surprisingly good clean boost and mild overdrive that is very affordable.

I’ve always been impressed by this pedal. At first I thought it was a damn good overdrive pedal. As years have passed, nearly ten now, I look back and think: “Man, this is one great pedal”. I’ve actually never really come across a Fulltone pedal that wasn’t at least excellent. Some may or may not be your cup of tea, but he makes great sounding pedals. The Fulldrive-II is no exception.

This is one great EQ pedal. The frequencies are spaced out to be optimized for guitar and it works well. Like most BOSS pedals, it’s built like a friggin’ tank. You can certainly get more boutiquy and you can can also find other EQ pedals that have more EQ bands, but if you need a solid and affordable floor based EQ guitar pedal, the BOSS GE-7 will do just fine.

A phase shifter is a phase shifter is a phase shifter… right? well, kind of, well, not really…. each of these offers a little variation on sound and many of them offer a lot of variation in features and performance. Not all phase shifters are created equal, but some are pretty damm good.
