I’ve always been impressed by this pedal. At first I thought it was a damn good overdrive pedal. As years have passed, nearly ten now, I look back and think: “Man, this is one great pedal”. I’ve actually never really come across a Fulltone pedal that wasn’t at least excellent. Some may or may not be your cup of tea, but he makes great sounding pedals. The Fulldrive-II is no exception.
This is one great EQ pedal. The frequencies are spaced out to be optimized for guitar and it works well. Like most BOSS pedals, it’s built like a friggin’ tank. You can certainly get more boutiquy and you can can also find other EQ pedals that have more EQ bands, but if you need a solid and affordable floor based EQ guitar pedal, the BOSS GE-7 will do just fine.
There are gazillions of compressors available today. Many can do all kinds of amazing things. These are facts. But… there was a time when the choices were far fewer. When it comes to compression, the MXR Dyna Comp still stands tall as one of the greatest compressors of all time.

A phase shifter is a phase shifter is a phase shifter… right? well, kind of, well, not really…. each of these offers a little variation on sound and many of them offer a lot of variation in features and performance. Not all phase shifters are created equal, but some are pretty damm good.
I don’t tend to think of Rocktron when I think of Wah, but this little pedal is pretty cool. Right outta the box, I was impressed by the fact that you can adjust the pedal rocker tension…handy dandy.
