For those of you who need an acoustic that plays like a Strat, here we go again. Fender announces their Sonoran SCE now comes with a Fishman Preamp. Overall the Fender Sonoran is a darn good purchase. You get Laminated Mahogany back and sides with a Solid Spruce top for good punch. The neck basically feels like you are playing an Electric, and has a bit of slink due to the slightly shorter scale. The Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard are no surprise and a best best for this setup. The Fishman® Isys III System offers a fantastic sound for amplified playing or going direct. For controls, you’ve got Volume, Bass, Mid range, Treble, as well as a Low Battery Indicator so that you don’t have any black outs on stage. Available in a variety of colors, the Fender Sonoran is a terrific deal and super fun guitar.
