Rocktron Tri Wah – An Now For Something A Little Different

I don’t tend to think of Rocktron when I think of Wah, but this little pedal is pretty cool. Right outta the box, I was impressed by the fact that you can adjust the pedal rocker tension…handy dandy. There are thruee “Voices”. The first offering a pretty much standard EQ. The “Classic” setting has a more vintage vibe to it. Then there is the “Bass” voice which does a nice double duty. It serves as a full fledged Bass Wah setting (literally for using Bass through the pedal), but you can also use this setting for 7-string guitar. Neato.

Yea Yeah Yeah, but how does it sound?

It sounds pretty good. Personally, I like “Classic” mode most, but I tend to like more vintage sounding stuff. Normal mode sounds good as well. I was pretty impressed with a put a lot of drive through it and it handled the drive well. The lows were fairly strong and did not crap out too much, so all around a good sound, even with a lot of drive.
