Some players really need to distinct drive settings. There are certainly a number of great amps that allow this and more. But what if you travel a lot and cannot always use the same amp? The Tone Bone Classic TriMode from Radial is a perfect solution.

Overall, the tone of this pedal is un-believable. I won’t waste precious pixels here going on and on about how good it is. Just trust me, it sounds phenomenal. There are two channels, each has its own drive and output level controls (which at the end of the day, you must have if you really want two distinct drive sounds). What is very cool is that channel # 2 has a dedicated effects loop. On the down side, there is no batter operation, so you must drag the wall-wart around with you. A slight bummer, but the price you pay for such a great sounding pedal.
