Most often, we have to choose between a humbucker, a single coil, a P-90, etc… While it is true that more and more, single coil pickups can imitate may characteristics of a humbucker, few humbucker-sized pickups are made to give you an additional palate of single coil sounds, until now.

The P-Rails SHPR-1 from Seymour Duncan fits in a standard humbucker mounting ring, but allows you to tap into the wonderfulness of a P-90 or a single coil. You will have to wire this pickup properly using a mini-toggle switch, but when done correctly, you truly can have the best of both worlds. Oh and in case you were wondering, yes, it is a full-fledge humbucker too.
